During Veterans Day, Cody McCasland, a veteran and staff member of Homeward Bound Adirondacks, was joined by his wife, Sara, in a 22-mile walk to raise awareness for the urgent issue of Veteran Suicide. While Sara is not a veteran nor an employee of Homeward Bound Adirondacks, her participation alongside her husband exemplified solidarity and support for her husband and the cause. Together, their efforts resulted in raising $6700.00. Cody, serving as a Case Manager at Homeward Bound Adirondack, demonstrates unwavering dedication to the North Country Veteran Community, a commitment that is greatly admired by our organization, and supported wholeheartedly by his wife, Sara.
