This weekend, Homeward Bound Adirondacks successfully hosted its inaugural retreat at Camp Tamarac, the future site of the SGT Carlton A. Clark Veterans Center. Our veterans had the opportunity to connect and bond through various recreational activities, including hiking, kayaking, fishing, and engaging fireside chats. The serene environment of the Adirondack Mountains provided a perfect backdrop for a weekend of nature therapy, fostering camaraderie and rejuvenation among our participants. We are committed to empowering veterans and supporting their journey towards healing and hope. Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming events and programs! Our retreats are made possible thanks to the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program, the Joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Peer Support Project, the New York Health Foundation, the United Way, and many more generous contributors. Let’s connect our heroes with the tranquility they deserve.
