The Department of Veterans’ Services is hosting New York State’s first-ever Veterans Outdoor Recreational Therapy Summit & Veterans Appreciation Day at the Adirondack Experience Museum on Blue Mountain Lake on Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28!
Veterans Symposium – Friday, June 27
The symposium will focus on addressing veterans’ mental health challenges, including suicide prevention and PTSD, by promoting access to the outdoors and recreational activities. This important initiative is the result of collaborative efforts with organizations like the Sierra Club and Cornell University.
Veterans Appreciation Day – Saturday, June 28
Celebrate our nation’s heroes! Join us for a day of special activities, music, and invited dignitaries as we honor veterans, active duty military, and military families.
Free Admission for veterans, active duty military, and their families (with ID).
