The Strand Center for the Arts in Plattsburgh, NY, proudly offers laser engraving sessions for our veterans.
Available Session Dates and Times:
  • December 16: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • December 17: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • December 20: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Each session can accommodate up to six veterans.
We warmly invite all interested veterans from Plattsburgh, Clinton County and the surrounding areas to join us for one of these enriching sessions. Don’t miss out on the chance to explore the art of laser engraving at the Strand Center for the Arts.

Bring your painting skills (or just your enthusiasm!) and recreate a beautiful image of the flagpole and memorial garden. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, this event is a wonderful way to express your creativity and support a great cause.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming IBEW 1249 Fall Classic Golf Tournament, taking place on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at the beautiful Bend of The River Golf Course in Hadley, NY. This event promises a day of fun, camaraderie, and support for a great cause.

Event Details:

  • Registration: Starts at 10:00 AM
  • Shotgun Start: 11:00 AM
  • Entry Fee: $70 per player

Each participant will receive a 1249 quarter-zip shirt along with food and drink tickets as part of the entry fee. This is more than just a golf tournament—it’s an opportunity to give back to those who have given so much.

Support a Worthy Cause: All proceeds from this event will go directly to supporting Homeward Bound Adirondacks, an organization dedicated to empowering veterans and soldiers through the challenges they face. Our programs offer a place of healing and hope, particularly for those suffering from PTSD. By participating in this tournament, you’re helping us continue our mission of providing vital support and services to those who need it most.

Exciting Extras: In addition to a great day of golf, there will be opportunities to win through our prize raffle, 50/50 draw, and mulligans. Don’t forget to bring cash as there will be no ATM on site.
