BattleFish Academy at Paul Smith’s College is making a final push for registrations for their Fall 2025 Cohort—and the deadline is Friday, September 5th!

This VA-friendly, 15-credit Business Certificate is designed to help veterans and service members launch careers as professional guides or start small outdoor businesses.

Program Highlights:

12 weeks online: business startup, marketing, client care, operations & field media

2-week in-person Guide Intensive (Paul Smith’s College, Adirondacks): backcountry skills, safety, practical guiding scenarios, and prep for the NYS DEC Guide Exam (hosted on-site!)

Timeline:

Online start: September 15, 2025

Guide Intensive: October 13–24, 2025
